China to face challenges in establishing health information system

Glenn Hou, head of Frost & Sullivan's health care practice in China, tells Interfax that development of China's health information system sector will be stimulated by government support but hospitals could be hampered by the large integration task ahead and by funding.

Government support will help to stimulate the growth of China's health information market though the integration of information systems in different hospitals looks set to be a big challenge for health authorities and hospitals.
