China's digital TV industry shows promise but barriers remain - CASBAA CEO

In light of the huge potential of China's digital TV and broadcasting industry, the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia's (CASBAA) CEO, Simon Twiston Davies, discusses the two major issues standing in the way of China's accession as a global power in digital TV and broadcasting, and warns foreign investors that although the market looks ripe, there is still some ways to go before China truly welcomes foreign investment.

Joint ventures will be the best path into the Chinese market for foreign companies as the deregulation process continues.
