Tianhe supercomputer ranked world's fourth fastest

Beijing. October 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - The National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in Changsha, Hunan Province, has developed Tianhe, a supercomputer with the capacity to theoretically conduct over 1 quadrillion calculations per second (one petaflop) at peak speed, the world's fourth fastest, according to an Oct. 29 NUDT announcement.
