Hebei Steel floats idea of centralized iron ore purchasing

Shanghai. March 1. INTERFAX-CHINA - Hebei Iron and Steel Group (Hebei Steel Group), a leading Chinese steel mill, has suggested that China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) form a state-owned mining company to conduct iron ore purchases on behalf of the country's steel mills, state media reported on March 1.
