Surging output fails to drive up Yangtze Power's H1 net profit

China Yangtze Power Co. Ltd., the listed vehicle of the country’s largest hydropower generator, reported a net profit drop of 0.05 percent year-on-year to RMB 1.98 billion ($291.18 million) in the first half of 2010 (H1) despite surging power output, according to the company's H1 earnings report released Aug. 31.
