China to focus on Inner Mongolian coal mine and transport development

Shanghai. May 30. INTERFAX-CHINA - In 2010, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region produced 782 million tons of coal, unseating Shanxi Province as China's largest coal producer. The country is now planning to expand the region's considerable coal resources and build additional infrastructure to transport the region's coal to eastern energy hubs by 2015, state media reported May 27.
