Global aluminum deficit looms as China shutters inefficient capacity - Alcoa CEO

Shanghai. January 11. INTERFAX-CHINA - The global aluminum market may see a 600,000-ton deficit in 2012 as China closes inefficient capacity at a time when demand for the light metal remains robust, the CEO of Pittsburg-based aluminum giant Alcoa Inc. said Jan. 9.
