LDK Solar becomes world's largest solar wafer producer

Shanghai. August 13. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's LDK Solar Co. Ltd. has surpassed Norway-based Renewable Energy Corp. (REC) to become the world's largest producer of solar wafers, used to produce solar cells, domestic media reported Aug. 13.
