Indian govt levies additional import taxes on Chinese aluminum plate, foil

Shanghai. March 17. INTERFAX-CHINA - The Indian government has imposed an extra 35 percent tax on aluminum foil imports and a 21 percent tax on aluminum plate imports from China in order to protect its domestic aluminum processing industry, an employee from North China Aluminum Co. Ltd., a Chinese aluminum foil and plate producer, told Interfax on March 16.
