Chinese equities hit one-year low on Tuesday, stage Wednesday rally

A-Share markets of Shanghai and Shenzhen hit a one-year low on Tuesday but staged a Wednesday rally thanks to solid performances of blue chip companies. The benchmark Shanghai composite index (SCI) softened 10.87 percent to end at 3,347.88 points on Wednesday while the counterpart Shenzhen component index eased 9.85 percent to close at 12,344.24 points.
